Mark Zuckerberg Agrees to Cage Fight With Elon Musk
Elon Musk has escalated the competition between Twitter and Facebook by extending a literal challenge to Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta. Musk proposed engaging in a cage match, and Zuckerberg promptly accepted the challenge.
On Instagram, Zuckerberg responded to Musk’s original challenge by sharing a screenshot and stating, “Send me the location.” Musk’s initial tweet humorously suggested, “I’m open to a cage match if he is lol.”
The potential competition seems to have originated from discussions on Twitter, involving Musk and other users, in response to a report about Meta’s potential development of a Twitter-like application that would directly rival the platform. Musk’s response to the news was, “I’m certain Earth can’t wait to be solely controlled by Zuck without any alternative options.”
After a user highlighted the fact that the CEO of Meta practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) and cautioned Musk to be cautious, the owner of Twitter responded by expressing his willingness to face him in a cage match.

Musk, known for frequently sharing memes on Twitter, emphasized that this specific challenge was not in jest. When a user shared a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s response, Musk affirmed, “If this is a genuine challenge, I’m up for it.”
Despite being taller and heavier, Musk later acknowledged that he rarely visits the gym or engages in workouts, except for the occasional activity of lifting and playfully tossing his children in the air.
Musk additionally proposed a venue idea for the celebrity exhibition by suggesting the “Vegas Octagon,” making a reference to the octagonal cage used in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In response to a user’s suggestion that UFC’s Joe Rogan could serve as the referee, Musk reacted with a fire emoji.
In another tweet, Musk unveiled a technique he refers to as “The Walrus,” which he claimed to possess as a “great move.” He explained that it involves lying on top of the opponent and not taking any action. Musk has previously mentioned that this move proves advantageous when one participant possesses a significant size and weight advantage over the other.
According to ESPN, Zuckerberg achieved a recent victory in a tournament held in Silicon Valley, specifically in the no-gi white belt, 149-pound division. Additionally, he secured the second position in a gi category during the same event.
Under the guidance of Dave Camarillo, who has previously mentored notable UFC fighters including former heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez, as well as welterweight standouts Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck, Zuckerberg has been training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) for approximately a year.
According to ESPN, Dave Camarillo, speaking highly of Zuckerberg, expressed, “He’s remarkable. He is an incredibly dedicated individual, as everyone knows. However, many people excel in their business and have success in that aspect of their lives but seldom venture into physical pursuits like jiu-jitsu and MMA, let alone continue beyond the initial stages. But he’s not that type of person. I believe he strikes a good balance between his business endeavors and his physical pursuits, and he excels. He is one of the most exceptional students I have ever had the pleasure of teaching.”
